Better than a commercial tour

I have taken 3 commercial tours on the road to Hana because Ive been nervous about driving it myself. The app made driving it a pleasure. I downloaded it at Honolulu airport, jumped off the plane in Maui and loaded it up as soon as I got my rental car. It immediately started talking and got me on my way on the road to Hana. It was completely hands free as long as I turned it back on after stopping the car (and had location services on, of course--this will degrade battery, so bring a car charger). Because I had done the commercial tours, I definitely knew the places I didnt want to stop because Id seen them too many times. The app definitely made it easy to find most of the cool spots. The stories in between and on the long drive back from Kipahulu helped to pass the time. One improvement that could be made would be ability to play personal playlist in between sections. Otherwise the app is near perfect and helped to keep me from crashing into anything.
